1. Trim the Wick Before Each Use : 
Before lighting your candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This helps prevent soot, uneven burning, and keeps the flame at a safe, manageable size. A trimmed wick ensures a clean, steady burn every time.

2. Let the Wax Melt Evenly :
Allow your candle to burn long enough to create a full melt pool, where the wax melts all the way to the edges of the container. This prevents tunneling—where wax builds up on the sides—and ensures your candle burns evenly and efficiently.

3. Keep Away from Drafts :
Place your candle on a flat, stable surface, away from fans, open windows, or vents. Drafts can cause the flame to flicker, leading to uneven burning, wasted wax, and excess smoke.

4. Extinguish the Flame Safely :
Avoid blowing out the flame, as it can create soot and disrupt the relaxing atmosphere. Instead, use a snuffer or gently dip the wick into the melted wax and straighten it back up. This keeps the wick in good condition for the next use.

5. Burn for the Right Amount of Time :
Limit each burning session to about 3-4 hours. Burning a candle for too long can overheat the container and affect the quality of the wax. Allow the wax to cool completely before relighting.

6. Store Candles Properly :
When not in use, store your candles in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or heat. Proper storage helps preserve the wax and keeps the fragrance fresh.

7. Reuse the Container :
Once your candle has burned completely, don’t throw away the container! Clean it out and repurpose it as a decorative jar, storage container, or even a small planter.
